Home MenuCommunity Equity Assessment
Equity, access, and inclusion are priorities for the City Council. We want to keep improving services and quality of life for all residents.
We are doing a Community Equity Assessment to better understand how residents experience City programs and services. What we learn will help us:
- Improve how programs and services are designed and delivered
- Gain outreach to residents who may not always be heard
- Reduce barriers that make it harder to access services
- Make services fair, inclusive and responsive to community needs

We are working with Moore Iacofano Goltsman, Inc. (MIG) to lead community outreach and research. EVITARUS is helping conduct the resident survey to make sure the results reflect the full Sunnyvale community.
3. How were participants selected?
For the survey 400 Sunnyvale residents are randomly selected to make sure the results represent the community.
For interviews, focus groups and community conversations, we are working with community partners to include people with different backgrounds and experiences.
Community Forums are open and all residents are welcome to participate.
4. When can residents participate?
Residents can participate throughout the project through surveys and community conversations.
