4th of July Event: America’s 250th Anniversary
Date: Saturday, July 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Downtown Sunnyvale – Murphy Avenue
Join us for a fun-filled day with free activities:
- Enjoy our amusement rides, including our Ferris wheel
- Play carnival games and win toy prizes
- Listen to live musical performances on two stages
Bike Parade
Decorate your bike and parade with us from the Sunnyvale Public Library to Downtown Sunnyvale.
To participate:
- Meet at the Library at 9 a.m.
- The bike parade will begin at 9:30 a.m.
- Park your bike for free at the event’s bike valet
Transportation
Get to Downtown Sunnyvale with these commuting options:
- Ride your bike and park at our free bike valet, located at the corner of Sunnyvale and Washington avenues.
- Park for FREE at any of our public parking lots surrounding the event area.
- Use public transportation:
- Ride VTA to our Sunnyvale Transit Center, or
- Take Caltrain to our Sunnyvale Caltrain station
Road Closures
Downtown Sunnyvale streets will be closed from July 2 to 6.
Road closures include:
- Sunnyvale Avenue, from Washington to McKinley
- Washington Avenue, from Frances to Sunnyvale
- Murphy Avenue, from Washington to McKinley
- McKinley Avenue, from Taaffe to Sunnyvale
