The City offers a recreational basketball league for youth in kindergarten through eighth grade. The Sunnyvale Youth Basketball League (SYBL) is non-competitive and designed to help participants learn basketball skills and sportsmanship. Teams are non-coed (except Kindergarten) and organized by grade level.

League Season and Sign-Up Dates

• Sign-ups begin in the fall each year
• Team practices begin early January (one hour each week)
• Team games are played on Saturdays for eight weeks, January to March

Registration Eligibility and Registration Dates

Any student in kindergarten through eighth grade is eligible to join the league. To qualify for Sunnyvale resident rates, two forms of ID (including one photo ID) are required.
