If you're building in an area designated as a Special Flood Hazard Area by FEMA, you'll need to account for special considerations in the construction.
If your project is deemed to be a "Substantial Improvement" by the City's Building Division, you will be required to bring the entire structure up to current FEMA standards and the City’s Municipal Code (16.62.300).

Elevation certificates are available for viewing at the One-Stop Counter in City Hall.
Free viewers are required for some of the attached documents.
