Water, Sewer and Garbage Rates

Water Rates

Residential water bills have a service fee and a consumption (use) charge.

Service Fee – Base charge for providing a meter and associated services. Cost will vary depending on the size of the water meter. To find the size of your water meter, see your bill or call 408-730-7400.

Water Consumption – Water consumption is billed per CCF of water consumed (1 CCF = 100 cubic feet = 748 gallons).

How Your Water Consumption is Calculated – This-Bill’s-Reading minus Last-Bill’s-Reading

Single Family	$5.61 per CCF for the first 10 CCF, $6.54 per unit thereafter
All other residential	$6.07 per CCF

Wastewater / Sewer Rates

This is only a partial list of the most common wastewater (also known as sewer) fees.

Garbage and Recycling Rates

Residential customers are charged for garbage service based on their type of residence and the size of their cart. There is a minimum charge per unit.
