Sunnyvale Beam is a convenient, affordable, on-demand transit service within the City of Sunnyvale. The shuttle service begins operation in August 2026.

The service is funded by the City of Sunnyvale and a grant from the California State Transportation Agency's Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program.

Shuttle Operations

Cost

• Your first three rides are free!
• Individual ride: $3.50
• Seniors (65+), persons with disabilities, low-income riders, and youth (13 to 18 years old): $1.75
• Additional passengers (up to four): $1 each

Service Hours

• Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

How it Works

Sunnyvale Beam is an on-demand service. You should book your ride 15 to 20 minutes before you’re ready to go. The shuttle offers corner-to-corner transit. Rides are shared to ensure efficient trips for all riders. Riders must be age 13 and up to ride on their own.
