Message about the March 19 Community Meeting:
On March 19, the City held its third community meeting for the Las Palmas Park Renovation project. The meeting purpose was to seek community input on two park design alternatives. We want to acknowledge that the meeting was not as effective as it could have been. This includes the format, live polling, and public input segment. Our project team heard and understood the concerns from meeting attendees.
Our goal is always to share clear information and provide sound methods for public input. We share the disappointment that the meeting did not achieve these expectations. We are now working on future input opportunities and how to improve them. We are also updating the project schedule to ensure we have time to address concerns. We thank you in advance for your patience and hope you will take part in future meetings.
