Phase Two envisions a revitalized Main Library. Our goal is to meet the community's needs. We want the Main Library to remain a vital place for culture, connection, and life-long learning. To do that, we explored whether to renovate or expand the existing facility or build a new facility.
Our first step was to gather community input and establish a vision for the future facility. We then designed some options. This helped us understand the potential project costs. The City Council reviewed the options and costs. They voted to pursue a new Main Library versus another renovation. They asked City staff to develop a ballot measure for a bond to help fund it.
