California Water Service Co. (Cal Water) wants to build a replacement water supply well at 800 Carlisle Way. The new well, and related improvements, will provide water supply reliability. It will support meeting current customers' water supply needs.

This well will give Cal Water access to a long-term source of water for their customers. It will offset a decrease in supply from other sources due to drought and climate change.

The project includes:

  • New 56,000-gallon steel water storage tank (17 feet high)
  • Three chemical storage enclosures for water treatment
  • Emergency generator for backup power
  • Other utility and right-of-way improvements

Building the well may take three months. This includes continuous drilling 24 hours a day for two consecutive weeks. Plus, a post-construction 24-hour water production test, see Details.
