Projects Under Review

   

Lawrence Station Transit Village    - The City Council will revisit moving forward with study in 2010.

Land Use and Transportation Element Update - Comprehensive update of the Land Use and Transportation Element (LUTE).

 

Water Efficient Landscaping Ordinance - The Water Conservation in Landscaping Act of 2006 (Assembly Bill 1881, Laird) requires cities, counties and charter cities and counties, to adopt landscape water conservation ordinances. The City is reviewing current City Codes regarding landscaping and is looking to adopt a water-efficient landscape ordinance tailored to local conditions and in coordination with other local agencies. The new regulations will mostly affect non-residential and multi-family properties.

 

Zoning for Projects Near City Borders – Study options for minimizing land use conflicts along Sunnyvale’s borders and to establish a formalized process for review of projects near city boundaries and develop a collaborative approach to planning and zoning with an opportunity for staff, community and Council to discuss future development near city borders.
