SUBJECT: Pre-Appeal of the Planning Commission Agenda of May 22, 2000 and the Administrative Hearing Agenda of May 24, 2000

REPORT IN BRIEF

This report represents Planning Commission and Administrative Hearing items that may be pre-appealed by a majority vote of the Council. Council should indicate those items on which it wishes to have expanded notification.

A. Pre-Appeal of the Planning Commission Agenda of May 22, 2000

1. 2000-0126 - Sy-Cheng Tsai (Stanley & Rita Lee): Application for a Special Development Permit to allow the construction of a new 8,230 square foot two-story office building. The property is located at 1696 South Wolfe in a C1/PD (Neighborhood Business/Planned Development) Zoning District (APN: 313-38-037) DSW
 

B. Pre-Appeal of the Administrative Hearing Agenda of May 24, 2000

1. 2000-0198 - Application for a Use Permit to allow a 6 foot 11 inch high fence along the rear yard property line. The property is located at 736 Carlisle Way in an R-0 (Low Density Residential) Zoning District. (APN: 309-13-016) DSW
2. 2000-0220 – Rick Egan (James R. Castellanos/Remington Investment Company): Application for a Special Development Permit to allow the addition of new carports in an existing apartment complex. The property is located at 120 East Remington Drive in an R-4 (High Density Residential) Zoning District. (APN: 211-22-016) EO
3. 2000-0224 – D.G.W. Auctioneers, Inc. (Alia Associates): Application for a Use Permit to allow an antique and estate auction house within an existing industrial building. The property is located at 924 Borregas Avenue in an M-S (Industrial/Service) Zoning District. (APN: 110-13-070) EJ
4. 2000-0221 – De Guigne Ventures/Skystream Networks (De Guigne Ventures, LLC.): Application for a Use Permit to allow 7,300 square foot building addition resulting in 40% FAR where a maximum of 35% is allowed without a Use Permit. The property is located at 455 De Guigne Drive in an M-S (Industrial/Service) Zoning District. (APN: 205-25-009) SD

 

RECOMMENDATION

The Council should review the agenda and appeal an application where appropriate.
